  6. No, if it was 1400, it would be predominantly Scots. In 1000AD we still had Pictish and Brittonic in circulation, as well as several local dialiects. I'm not arguing that in this small chunk of our history, Gaelic was widely spoken, but each of these languages borrowed off of each other and evolved in synergy to Scots.
