Both games make up the third installment of the Mario & Sonic series. New sports, such as soccer (association football) and equestrian, along with other athletic events, debut in the Wii version.

12 de mai. de 2024 · SEGA and Nintendo have announced that Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is in development for Wii and Nintendo 3DS. The Wii game features a host of new headline events, including football and equestrian, appearing alongside classic Olympic disciplines such as athletics, aquatics and table tennis.
One big improvement over the first Wii Olympic Games is that all events are unlocked from the start, so as a party game it’s instantly accessible. At the same time, it feels like there’s also not a lot to do in London 2012 as it seems that the mode where you would unlock games just isn’t included.
