The kit itself does not contain the side entry as show today on the ship. It's an ongoing discussion whether there were these doors or not at the time of the Battle of Trafalger.

4 de mai. de 2024 · I did a test gun port with a cannon and the paper template, perfect so I don’t know what happened with Julian’s build being 4or 5 mm out. Trying to figure out a more simple method of cutting out the gun ports. Must be an easier way somewhere So many to do and most of them are affected by the ribs. One done. Another 80 odd to do.

If you check the plan there is probably a sub deck that sits on that piece flush against the former. The glue fillet will stop the deck from sitting flush. Jim.
22 de mai. de 2024 · Re: HMS VICTORY 1/75 SCALE all wooden build. As an alternative suggestion if you make up a jig so you can put about 6 to 8 planks on edge. Run some electricians black plastic tape on the edges and press it down. Remove from the jig and turn the planks over and use a sharp blade to cut each one away, it only takes a couple of seconds.
