The blend of dark humor, pathos, and unlikely heroism allows Campbell to explore a multifaceted character, solidifying the film's rank among his best.
As previously announced, this is an edited version of Bubba Ho-Tep. The story in Bubba includes video clips of Elvis interspersed throughout. Background music from Elvis is also included, using record players or radios to create the effect that his music is playing in the room. This was done to make it somewhat convincing.
