  1. Há 2 dias · Purpose of Review Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) accounts for roughly 25% of all new breast cancer diagnoses. Mortality from DCIS is low and has not significantly changed despite modern, aggressive care. This review will highlight the multiple strategies which are being proposed to de-escalate care, including foregoing sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB). Recent Findings Under 5% of patients ...

  2. 9 de mai. de 2024 · Summary. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) accounts for 15–25% of all breast cancer diagnoses. Its prognosis is excellent overall, the main risk being the occurrence of local breast events, as most cases of DCIS do not progress to invasive cancer.

  3. Há 2 dias · Conclusions: DCIS progression is facilitated by interactions between stromal, immune, and epithelial cells, which lead to epigenetic and transcriptional changes. This results in the formation of stem-like cells that are characterized by their plasticity and invasive capacity. This is an ASCO Meeting Abstract from the 2024 ASCO Annual Meeting I.

  5. Há 1 dia · We leveraged paired tumor and normal sequencing data from 4918 primary and 611 metastatic breast cancer patients, as well as somatic genomic profiles from 341 patients with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), and evaluated the relationship between germline-derived epitope burden (GEB) and subtype commitment, defined by the acquisition of focal oncogenic amplifications.

  6. 21 de mai. de 2024 · Conclusion: Atypical adenomatous hyperplasia, adenocarcinoma in situ, minimally invasive adenocarcinoma, and lepidic adenocarcinoma all have corresponding morphological diagnostic criteria, but the morphological boundaries are sometimes not easy to determine and require some experience accumulation.

Young patients with breast ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) often face a poorer prognosis. The genomic intricacies in young-onset DCIS, however, remain underexplored. Methods.
