I'm only about 1/3 through the audiobook but it's got me thinking. King came out as Bachman in '85 and The Dark Half was published in '89. It would have been absolutely crazy had he waited to uncover Bachman identity with this story. A writer, writing under a pseudonym, about a writer, writing under a pseudonym. That would have been insanity lol.
