I never noticed it looking worse, tho im sure they spent a large portion of the budget making the enterprise and the borg look really good. Just googled it and the budget for first contact was 10 million dollars higher than generations. There's making of books of the movies but I haven't read them.

Watched first contact for the first time. Decided to dive a bit deeper into trek by watching the films. I’ve heard nothing but great things about first contact so I made this the first to watch. I actually found it a bit disappointing.
