On this day in 1986 Warner Records and Prince and The Revolution released the 12” single for “Mountains”. It also contained what we wanted at the time: a Prince instrumental! So they gave us "Alexa De Paris".

On this day in 1987 #Prince released the 12” maxi-single “If I Was Your Girlfriend”. It contained the b-side “Shockadelica”. The song was written after Prince learned Jesse Johnson didn’t have a title track for his album of the same name. So Prince wrote one.
