Mary Margaret McKeown (born May 11, 1951) is a Senior United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit based in San Diego. McKeown has served on the Ninth Circuit since her confirmation in 1998.

About the Author. M. Margaret McKeown has served almost twenty-five years as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, an affiliated scholar at the Center for the American West at Stanford University, and jurist-in-residence at the University of San Diego School of Law.
She has lectured and taught extensively on intellectual property, international law, human rights law, litigation, ethics, judicial administration, and constitutional law in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Judge McKeown teaches international internet and intellectual property law.
M. Margaret McKeown currently serves as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to join the bench in 1998 and assumed senior status in 2022.
