10 de mai. de 2024 · Other than that, my knowledge of La Traviata was only through my deep and passionate love for Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 Moulin Rouge! which is based upon it. However, upon gathering my courage and entering the intimidatingly grand Theatre Royal while this opera plays, you will be enthralled by the grandeur and sophistication of a beautiful and timeless love story.

12 de mai. de 2024 · Kate McDermott’s solo was so heartrendingly beautiful that I discovered to my surprise that I was holding my breath – I dare not guess for how long. The power of opera. With 5 more performances in Glasgow, 5 in Edinburgh and 2 each in Inverness and Aberdeen, this production is unmissable. Strongly recommended.
