Katharina Schratt, Baroness Kiss von Ittebe (11 September 1853 – 17 April 1940) was an Austrian actress who became "the uncrowned Empress of Austria" as a confidante of Emperor Franz Joseph.

Katharina Schratt (* 11. September 1853 in Baden bei Wien, Kaisertum Österreich; † 17. April 1940 in Wien, Deutsches Reich) war eine österreichische Schauspielerin, die wegen ihrer langjährigen privaten Beziehung zu Kaiser Franz Joseph I. große Bekanntheit erlangte.
Katharina Schratt caused a scandal in 1903 when she portrayed an empress in the comedy Maria Theresia. Many saw this as a tasteless allusion to her secret liaison with Emperor Franz Joseph. The emperor was always careful to keep everything secret and did not understand the procedure himself.

Katharina Schratt. * 11. Sep 1853, † 17. Apr 1940. From 1883 to 1900 Katharina Schratt was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna Court Theatre, where she achieved great popularity with audiences. Awarded the honorary title of Court Actress in 1887, in 1893 she was made a lifelong member of the Palace Theatre.
