17 de jul. de 2024 · Isaac Albéniz (1860–1909) Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz wrote mainly for the piano, which is unsurprising considering his many concert tours as a pianist in Europe and the Americas.
Há 3 dias · Along with Isaac Albéniz, Francisco Tárrega, and Enrique Granados, he was one of Spain's most important musicians of the first half of the 20th century. He has a claim to being Spain's greatest composer of the 20th century, [1] although the number of pieces he composed was relatively modest.
The piano works by Isaac Albéniz range from indisputable masterpieces to ravishing salon music, the composer painting with bright Spanish colours as well as the hues of Classicism and Romanticism.
Although it might seem surprising, in this tribute to the Iberian peninsula Albéniz also included a tango that appears in the form of a Cuban habanera. Behind the multicultural charade is one of Albéniz' most popular works, full of warm longing for exotic climes.
