16 de mai. de 2024 · Hence in 1403 Hotspur and Northumberland decided to depose the king. Hotspur raised a rebellion in Cheshire in July, but Henry intercepted him near Shrewsbury before he could join forces with his father. In the ensuing battle Hotspur was killed.

15 de mai. de 2024 · It was inhabited by Henry Percy (Hotspur) before it was forfeited to Henry IV., who bestowed it upon his wife, Queen Jane, as her "wardrobe." Another Northumberland House was in the parish of St. Katherine Colman, on the south side of Fenchurch Street, the memory of which still survives in Northumberland Alley.
