  4. Há 4 dias · According to Ted Hughes, Plath started The Bell Jar in 1961. It was published under a pseudonym ‘Victoria Lucas’ in the UK shortly before she died in 1963. It did not appear in print under Plath’s name until 1967, and was not published in the US until 1971. In 1971 the New York Times reviewer wrote:
