14 de mai. de 2024 · Amsterdam was the final resting place of Anthony Ashley Cooper, the first Earl of Shaftesbury. Forced into exile due to his political beliefs, Shaftesbury sought refuge in the Dutch city. There, he spent his remaining days until his death in 1683.
