Dorothy McGuire in The Spiral Staircase (1946) I’m pretty sure I read a Nancy Drew back in the day with a cover image exactly like this still. Underrated actress. Her performance in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945) is incredible. An underrated and under-appreciated actress.
