Mrs Guinness loved Ireland, and threw herself into preserving the architectural heritage – she and her husband co-founded the Irish Georgian Society in 1958.

10 de mai. de 2024 · He was a collector of Surrealist art and vigorously surreal in his own right, and Monkton House ( WoI May 1986 and Jan 2017) in Sussex reflected both Jamesian aspects. Desmond Guinness, who knew him well, attempted to make sense of the place’s ‘peculiar décor’ and the friend who had let loose over it.
