Each track corresponded to a scene in the movie, and this is no exception. “Cornbread” is a song describing the titular hero, a talented young man who is the neighborhood basketball hero.

Fishburne began acting as a child, making his film debut in Cornbread, Earl and Me (1975) at age 14.
