However, it was revealed that Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) was William Afton's daughter, and Mike is of no relation.

No. Elizabeth Afton is far Afton collapse, in fact most people have accepted it being having before both CC and Charlie. Also CC and Mike were abused, but so was Elizabeth. Also we never got a definitive answer if Afton actually made Circus Baby for Elizabeth Afton, all we get is “didn’t you make her for me” line from Elizabeth Afton (which could easily just be her perspective).
