9 de mai. de 2024 · William Pitt, the Elder (born November 15, 1708, London—died May 11, 1778, Hayes, Kent, England) was a British statesman, twice virtual prime minister (1756–61, 1766–68), who secured the transformation of his country into an imperial power.
