Many decades later the family produced what came to be referred to as ‘The Mitford Sisters’ of whom one, Unity Mitford (8 August 1914 - 28 May 1948), was to become a keen supporter of and allegedly a friend of Adolf Hitler. The 1st Baron was responsible for Redesdale Hall, Moreton-in-Marsh.
