  1. Jermaine Trevell Dye (born January 28, 1974 in Vacaville, California) is a retired right fielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). Dye played for the Atlanta Braves (1996), Kansas City Royals (1997-2001), Oakland Athletics (2001-04) and Chicago White Sox (2005–2009).

Dye would be traded that offseason to Kansas City where he would develop into one of the more prolific home run hitters in the game.

Dye was originally drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 43rd round of the 1992 Baseball Draft , the first Will C. Wood High School baseball player selected in any baseball draft !
