The West Yorkshire Combined Authority ( WYCA) is the combined authority for West Yorkshire in England. It was established by statutory instrument under the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 on 1 April 2014. It is a strategic authority with powers over transport, economic development and regeneration.
I am certain that joining West of England Mayoral Combined Authority will be a career-defining move. The scale of ambition, amount of investment and scope of delivery provide a unique challenge and opportunity to drive major improvements to the quality of life for West of England people. Who we are. The Combined Authority was set up in 2017 to make decisions and investments that benefit people living and working in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Together, our aim is to deliver economic growth for the region and address some of our challenges, such as productivity and skills, housing and transport.
