18 de out. de 2019 · The Hachirogata polder was reclaimed from the Hachirogata lagoon in the middle of the twentieth century with the help of Dutch engineers. Japan has a history of modern land reclamation dating to the beginning of the twentieth century, which coincided with an increased interest in modern polder projects in the Netherlands.
15 de ago. de 2020 · Since then Hachiro-Taro visited to Lake Tazawa-ko every year. During his absence at Lagoon Hachirogata, the lagoon was frozen and covered with the thick ice although there was no ice in Lake Tazawa-ko,where the couple lived together, due to the passion of their love. Because of their deep love, the depth of the lake got more and more deep.

27 de mai. de 2006 · This figure depicts Hachiro-gata (lagoon) as observed by the Advanced Visible and Near Infrared Radiometer type-2 (AVNIR-2) on board the Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) "Daichi" in May 2006. This lake is located at the root of Oga Peninsula in Akita Prefecture, looking at Shirakami-Sanchi (mountain range), a World Heritage site, far to the north.
