Benedict Arnold, né le 14 janvier 1741 à Norwich dans le Connecticut, et mort le 14 juin 1801 à Londres, est un général de l'Armée continentale durant la guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis. Il est surtout connu pour avoir trahi les États-Unis et voulu livrer le fort américain de West Point aux Britanniques durant la guerre d’Indépendance.
