Arthur Hill-Trevor, 1 er vicomte de Dungannon (c. 1694 - 30 janvier 1771), est un homme politique irlandais. Biographie. Né Arthur Hill, il adopte le nom de famille Hill-Trevor en 1759. Il est le deuxième fils de Michael Hill d'Hillsborough, député et conseiller privé, et d'Anne Trevor.

Arthur changed his name to Arthur Hill-Trevor in 1759, and he was elevated to the Peerage of Ireland as the 1st Viscount Dungannon in February 1766, giving him an hereditary seat in the Irish House of Lords. Thus, Anne was only known as Anne Hill-Trevor for a short while during 1759, just before her marriage.
Marquess of Downshire is a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1789 for Wills Hill, 1st Earl of Hillsborough, a former Secretary of State.. Hill had already been created Earl of Hillsborough and Viscount Kilwarlin of County Down in the Peerage of Ireland in 1751 with remainder, in default of male issue of his own, to his uncle Arthur Hill, 1st Viscount Dungannon.
Lord Mornington married Anne Hill-Trevor, eldest daughter of the banker Arthur Hill-Trevor, 1st Viscount Dungannon, and his wife Anne Stafford, on 6 February 1759. His godmother, the famous diarist Mary Delany , said the marriage was happy, despite his lack of financial sense and her "want of judgment". [10]
Arthur Edwin Hill-Trevor, 1st Baron Trevor (4 November 1819 – 25 December 1894), styled as Lord Edwin Hill until 1862 and as Lord Edwin Hill-Trevor from 1862 to 1880, was a long-standing Anglo-Irish Conservative Member of Parliament . Hill-Trevor was the third son of Arthur Hill, 3rd Marquess of Downshire, and his wife Lady Maria (née Windsor).
Colonel Charles Powell Leslie, JP (1769 – 15 November 1831), of Castle Leslie, Glaslough, County Monaghan, was an Irish landowner and politician. [1] He was the eldest son of Charles Powell Leslie and the Hon. Prudence Penelope Hill-Trevor, daughter of Arthur Hill-Trevor, 1st Viscount Dungannon, and therefore, a cousin of the Duke of Wellington.
