11 de mai. de 2024 · Henry Beaufort, 3rd duke of Somerset, leading Lancastrian in the English Wars of the Roses. He fled to Scotland after the disastrous Battle of Towton (1461). He deserted to the Yorkists in 1463, but promptly switched back and was executed after his defeat as Lancastrian commander at the Battle of Hexham.
Sir Henry Beaufort Somerset (1906–1995), industrial chemist, company executive, and director, was born on 21 May 1906 at Mount Morgan, Queensland, eldest child of Queensland-born Henry St John Somerset, assayer, and his New South Wales-born wife Jessie Bowie, daughter of the politician and free-thinker John Bowie Wilson.
Henry Charles FitzRoy Somerset ( 1er février 1824 - 30 avril 1899) est un pair britannique, soldat, et homme politique du parti conservateur. Il est maître du cheval entre 1858 et 1859 et de nouveau entre 1866 et 1868. Il est titré comte de Glamorgan jusqu'en 1835 et marquis de Worcester de 1835 à 1853, avant de prendre le titre de duc de Beaufort 1 .
