Gyula Horn Biography. Childhood and early years. Gyula Horn was born on 5 th July 1932 in Budapest as the third child of parents Géza Horn, transportation worker and Anna Csörnyei, factory worker. The family lived in poor circumstances which was characteristic of the working class between the two world wars.
