Dan Edwards ( Frank Sinatra) is boss of an advertising company (no, not Sterling Cooper ). He is a workaholic who is so Married to the Job that his wife Valerie ( Deborah Kerr) is seriously considering divorcing him.
In this farcical comedy, unhappily married Val and Dan take a second honeymoon in Mexico, where they accidentally get a divorce. When Dan is called away, his best friend, Ernie, comes to look after Val, and the two of them mistakenly get married.
