Under Capricorn is probably one of his most experimental films by that measure, being both a historical drama largely composed of extremely long takes. Long before the steadicam, Hitchcock was attempting to push the limits of a magazine of film by composing a film of as many single takes as possible, often lasting ten minutes at a time.
