Miracle in the Rain marked the final film of long-time character actor Halliwell Hobbes, who died in 1962. Portions of the film were shot in various locations in New York City, among them Central Park and St. Patrick's Cathedral.

This lesser known Jane Wyman vehicle is another melodrama, no doubt trying to capitalize on her popular teamings with Douglas Sirk and Rock Hudson. While it's nowhere near as strong as those two, Miracle in the Rain is no less heartfelt or endearing, and I'd argue her character of Ruth (or Ruthie) is better than her Helen in Magnificent Obsession.
