Born January 8, 1971, in West Covina, California, Jason Gilbert Giambi was the oldest of John and Jeanne Giambi’s three children.
Jason Giambi officially announced his retirement on February 16, 2015. Less than two-weeks earlier (11 February 2005), he took part in a press conference held at Yankee Stadium, in response to a San Francisco Chronicle article which said Jason's testimony to a federal grand jury had admissions of guilt, in respect to the usage of steroids, before and after he joined the Bronx Bombers.
