  3. 15 de dez. de 2015 · Elizabeth "Bessie" Blount was the daughter of John Blount and his wife Katherine Pershall. She was born around 1498 at Kinlet Hall. Bessie's grandmother, through her mother, had been Isabel Stanley, daughter of Sir John Stanley, a distant relative of Lord Thomas Stanley whom had married Margaret Beaufort, Henry VII's mother.

  4. Early life. Blount was the daughter of Sir John Blount and Catherine Pershall, of Shropshire . Not much is known about Elizabeth Blount's early years, not even her year of birth. She became a lady-in-waiting (a type of personal helper) to Queen Catherine of Aragon. She became King Henry's lover during 1514 or 1515.

The couple had married at an early age, her mother was only ten at the time. In 1501, Prince Arthur and Catherine of Aragon set up their own court in Ludlow.
