Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur Travers Harris was Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Royal Air Force's Bomber Command for much of World War II. A fighter pilot in World War I, Harris was charged with implementing the British policy of area bombing German cities in the later conflict.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Travers Harris is remembered in the RAF chapel in Westminster Abbey. His name, with those of other wartime leaders, was painted in 1989 below the Battle of Britain memorial window. He was born in Cheltenham on 13th April 1892, a son of George, of the Indian Civil Service, and his wife Caroline (Elliot).

Arthur Travers Harris (ur. 13 kwietnia 1892, zm. 5 kwietnia 1984) – brytyjski marszałek Royal Air Force, propagator i realizator strategii nalotów dywanowych na III Rzeszę, w latach 1942–1945 dowódca alianckiej floty bombowców w Europie. Przez prasę nazywany Bomber Harris (Bombowiec Harris), a w RAF Butcher Harris (Rzeźnik Harris) [2] .
