The Egremont papers consist of official, semi-official and private papers of Charles Wyndham, second Earl of Egremont, dating largely from his time as Secretary of State for the Southern Department, 1761-1763. A few predate this, although most that do are copies of earlier papers consulted during his secretaryship.
