This book is the Portuguese translation of King Leopold's Soliloquy, Mark Twain's political intervention denouncing the atrocities of Belgian king Leopold II rule in the Congo. It is written as a soliloquy by the king, trying to defend himself of the accusations of the gross criminal violence and inhumanity of his rule in that vast region of Central Africa.
