Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein (Frederick Christian Charles Augustus; 22 January 1831 – 28 October 1917) was a German prince who became a member of the British royal family through his marriage to Princess Helena of the United Kingdom, the fifth child and third daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha .

Life. Christoph was born in Schloss Louisenlund, the eldest son of Peter, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein (1922-1980) and his wife Princess Marie Alix of Schaumburg-Lippe (b. 1923). He has a diploma in Agricultural Engineering. Christoph served as a Reservist in the German Army for two years holding the rank of Lieutenant.
Margaret was born at Haus Sandberg am Alsensund near Sonderburg [1] on 24 February 1583 [2] as the youngest daughter of Duke John II the Younger of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg and his first wife Duchess Elisabeth of Brunswick-Grubenhagen. [1] [3] [4] Margaret's father was a younger brother of King Frederick II of Denmark.
