  2. The church, in 2019. St Michael and All Angels' Church is an Anglican church in Downholme, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. The church was built about 1180, initially consisting of a nave and chancel. A north aisle was added around 1200, and the chancel was rebuilt about 1330. About 1430, the aisle was extended to create a north chapel.

  7. 25 de jul. de 2024 · In 1820 Patrick Brontë, an Irish Anglican priest, moved to Haworth to become the perpetual curate at St Michael and All Angels Church. The Brontë family lived in a parsonage behind the church. His wife Maria Branwell died of cancer a year later and so the Brontë children were left to be looked after by her sister Elizabeth Branwell.
