Her funeral was attended by hundreds of mourners and Lady Mary was laid to rest in a sandstone vault surrounded by a wrought iron palisade fence within St John’s Cemetery, Parramatta.

Mary Howard and Sir Henry FitzRoy, Duke of Richmond & Somerset, Earl of Nottingham, Lord High Admiral obtained a marriage license on 28 November 1533; Date of Dispensation. They had no issue as the marriage was never consummated. Mary Howard died on 9 December 1557; Mary is buried at Thetford Abbey, England. Sources
A memorial to Mary FitzRoy on the wall of St James' Church, Sydney. After sixteen months in the colony, Sir Charles' wife Mary was killed in a coach accident on 7 December 1847.
