Now, I'm wondering the meaning of that sentence, from Huxley's novel title: "After Many a Summer Dies the Swan" I understand that "Many a year, many a summer, many a day" phrases are closely the same thing as "Many years, many summers, many days". But "Dies the Swan", what is that?
