Daughter of [father unknown] and [mother unknown] [sibling (s) unknown] Wife of Robert Hogarth — married 17 Nov 1781 in Westruther, Berwickshire, Scotland. Descendants. Mother of George Hogarth, Christian (Hogarth) Ballantyne and Mary (Hogarth) Walker. Died 1 Mar 1809 at about age 59 in England.
Mary Edwards commissioned Hogarth's 1733 Southwark Fair, and his 1742 painting Taste in High Life, which lampoons the extravagant fashion of the day and overspending. In October 1742 her "husband" married Anna Powell, and there was no charge of bigamy.
