  2. Frederick Robinson was born on 30 October 1782 in London. He was the second of three sons born to Thomas Robinson, second Baron Grantham, and his wife Lady Mary Jemima Grey Yorke. He was educated at Sunbury; between 1796 and 1799 he attended Harrow and then he was admitted to St. John's College, Cambridge.
