  2. If Althorp House did some guided tours several times a day, rather than just free flow reading a few notice boards, I think many people would get a lot more out of the house. I know quite a lot about history and art so understand a lot of what I was looking at but I suspect many visitors would benefit from more information - I would.

When I picked it up I didn’t know that Princess Diana was among its family line. I enjoyed this book thoroughly, gaining a better understanding of the history of the Spencers, of their time eras, and a fascinating view of what it entails to keep a family estate.
