At the Milken Institute Global Conference this week, the MIT professor promoted Algorand, a blockchain he developed that he says is greener, faster and more secure than other protocols.
Silvio Micali has been on the faculty at MIT, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, since 1983. Silvio’s research interests are cryptography, zero knowledge, pseudorandom generation, secure protocols, and mechanism design and blockchain.

Algorand is a blockchain platform founded in 2017 by Silvio Micali, a computer scientist and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Micali's expertise in cryptography and distributed systems has been instrumental in shaping Algorand's innovative approach to blockchain technology. [2] [3]
