Broadcast between October 1973 and May 1974, this 26-part series attempts to encompass the full scope of the Second World War, a conflict fought on multiple fronts across multiple continents, on land and on sea and in the air.

Across 26 hour-long episodes, this series chronicled the course of the Second World War and charted the key experiences of the conflict. Figure 1.
