This is an extraordinary incoming cohort, with an impressive 94% of the applicants who reported a high school ranking in the top 10% of their respective classes.

The College was named after educator, mathematician, and 10th president of Columbia College Frederick A.P. Barnard, who argued unsuccessfully for the admission of women to Columbia University.
