Eton College. Today Eton College is a secondary school (a high school in the American sense) for approximately 1,290 boys between the ages of 13 and 18, all of whom are boarders. Eton College was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI. All boys have a uniform of black tailcoat (or morning coat) and waistcoat, false-collar and pin striped trousers.

However, for many pupils today it can cost over £42,000 a year, breaking down to about £14,000 per term. This made it the sixth most expensive school in the UK.
