Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey KG, GCB, GCH, PC (17 May 1768 – 29 April 1854), styled Lord Paget between 1784 and 1812 and known as the Earl of Uxbridge between 1812 and 1815, was a British Army officer and politician.

He had six younger brothers and five sisters.

He was created Marquess of Anglesey on 4 July 1815 in recognition of his services. He later served Wellington in the political sphere as his fair-minded but controversial Lord Lieutenant in Ireland (1828-1829), and he returned to Ireland for a further period under Lord Grey (1830-1833).
Paget had succeeded his father as Earl of Uxbridge in 1812, and in recognition of his command at Waterloo was created Marquess of Anglesey in 1815.
