"A Dog of Flanders" (this is the latest of several film versions) is adapted from Ouida's classic children's tale. It tells the story of Nello (Jesse James plays him as a 7-year-old and Jeremy James Kissner as a more mature boy), an angelic child and gifted artist who grows up in poverty with his kindly grandfather (Jack Warden).
