During his time with the Orioles, Eddie Murray was a key player in the team’s success. He was a consistent hitter, known for his ability to drive in runs and get on base. Murray was a 7-time All-Star and won 3 Gold Glove Awards for his exceptional defense at first base. He also helped lead the Orioles to a World Series championship in 1983.
4 de out. de 2021 · Eddie Murray, the third player in baseball history to achieve five hundred home runs and three thousand hits, would be playing for the Albuquerque Dukes in the Pacific Coast League. He’d last played at that level in 1976. In between, he’d quietly, but magnificently, marched his way towards the Hall of Fame.
Eddie Murray played 21 seasons for 5 teams, including the Orioles and Dodgers. He had a .287 batting average, 3,255 hits, 504 home runs, 1,917 RBIs and 1,627 runs scored. He won 3 Gold Glove awards, the Rookie of the Year award, 3 Silver Slugger awards and 1 World Series. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003.
